How Does It Feel?

There are a number of ways that a hypnotherapist can use to take a client into a hypnotic state. I find that many of my clients really enjoy a technique in which I lead them slowly through a guided relaxation, relaxing the body and mind and painting a verbal picture of a place that that client would find appealing, to encourage a calm state in which the subconscious mind is receptive to suggestions that will help to make the changes that they want to make.

Most people say that they are aware of what is being said during hypnosis and just enjoy this wonderful relaxed state. At all times the client is in control and does not have to accept any suggestions if they are not palatable to them. At the end of the session the client usually returns to the ‘real world’ with a gentle smile.
